At Bi+ Equal, we believe good governance is shared power and clear accountability. We want to build the foundations of a structure that’s democratic, inclusive, and representative of the vibrant bi+ community and movement across pan-European countries, responding and advancing in the fast-paced changing world.
Governance might sound a bit dry, but it’s actually pretty exciting: it’s the core of the organisation’s leadership in navigating the world towards our goals, how we decide who decides!
The Comparative Governance Analysis of the four pan-European LGBTIQA+ organisations, specifically EL*C, ILGA-Europe, IGLYO, and TGEU, incorporating their feedback and adjustments was published in July 2025 makes PART I of our final document presented to the Founding General Meeting.
The initial refined proposals for the constitutional articles were presented to the community following consultations with a Pool of Governance Consultants.
Part II of the supporting document shared on October 1st includes:
- Part II.A: Insights gathered from the bi+ community during two online workshops conducted in August and September 2025.
- Part II.B: The final set of proposed articles for the constitution, which will be further discussed in the F-GM workshops and voted on during the Founding General Meeting.
The governance team at Bi+ Equal is composed of Governance Lead Soudeh Rad, and Governance Analyst Demet Gümüş. If you are interested in contributing to the development of this future organisation governance system, please reach out to us at info@biplusequal.org

This is a supporting document to the last version of the proposed articles for the future pan-European bi+ umbrella organisation.
After our Comparative Governance Analysis, the Bi+ Equal Governance team reflected and designed the future structure of the entity to be. The designed articles were shared with a Pool of Governance Consultants, who generously shared their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm with the team. After readjustments of some points, the Bi+ Equal team, is excited to share the outcomes and suggestions for the Constitution articles to be put to vote in October F-GM.
