Many bi+ people attracted to multiple genders, nonbinary people with a trans spectrum identity, and some intersex people with diverse sex characteristics fall outside the binary system that the societal majority belong to. In several countries (among them Russia and more and more USA) we are seen as undesirable because others, and especially young people, may be attracted to our “lifestyle” which threatens the view that there should be only two genders. However, we do not choose our gender, gender identity, or sexual/romantic orientation, but we may discover it throughout our lives. Now it is important that we stand together and strengthen each other, as we often meet the same kinds of discrimination, and our lives are really worth fighting for.
Vivi is probably the oldest participant - 78 years. Vivi has been ctive in the lesbian movement in Copenhagen 1976-1983, worked as a school teacher in Norway and Denmark, active in Bi+ Copenhagen (and LGBT+ Denmark) since 2004, wrote a book (in Danish) about bi+ life 2019 and is till active in bi+ work, but gradually reducing time.
